Artist Statement
My work explores the fragile threshold between the material and the immaterial, drawing on themes of impermanence, spirituality, and the unseen. Rooted in an early awareness of life’s fragility and the richness of ritual, I became fascinated by how humans create narratives that transcend the physical world. For me, art is a spiritual journey—an act of tracing the invisible threads that connect us across time, space, and emotion.
Earlier works took the form of installation and sculpture, engaging ritual and spatial presence. Contemplation invited viewers to turn a pair of pillars resembling Buddhist prayer wheels, reflecting both Eastern and Western religious symbolism. Seasons, a site-specific installation at Safehouse in London, transformed an empty room into an interactive environment of sound, object, and atmosphere, encouraging visitors to reflect on presence, ephemerality, and transition.
Today, my practice continues through mixed media works on paper. Using watercolor, botanical imagery, and symbolic fragments, I create pieces that are dreamlike and intimate. These paintings unfold slowly, layering marks and materials in a process that embraces fluidity, imperfection, and change—mirroring the impermanent nature of memory and perception. Through my work, I invite viewers to pause and reflect on the sacredness of everyday life, to sense the quiet, unseen energies that shape our inner worlds.
